Beasley Brown Community Center Board of Directors
Rev. Dr. W. Raymond Bryant
Chairman
Pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church. Bryant is a trained petroleum engineer and was a drilling supervisor on rigs for Shell Oil Company for five years. He was hired by Schlumberger, the world's largest oil field service company, to be their Field Services Manager. His success with keeping clients happy earned him a special role as a customer service expert. He was at Schlumberger 10 years before leaving the corporate world for ministry. Now, twenty years later, he's bridging those two worlds by offering a leadership program for executives and team leaders who are seeking effective ways to inspire success and advance with a code of morals and ethics. He also is deeply committed to greater education for this nation's youth, testifying before the U.S. Congress and working with non-profit agencies advocating for quality education for all. Education: BS degree from the University of New York, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Houston Graduate School of Theology.

Under his leadership, SAHA received many distinguished awards and achievements. Braziel also received many personal awards and recognitions during his career at SAHA. He has served on many boards of agencies related to housing and economic development at the local, state, and national levels. He continues to share his knowledge on several board of directors. Education: BBA and Master of Business Administration degrees from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas.

Sybil J. Hunter
Treasurer
Family nurse practitioner. Hunter provides primary care to patients in an internal medicine clinic and local nursing homes. In addition, she provides teaching and in-service to individuals, facilities and the community at large. Hunter plans and facilitates marketing strategies for recruitment of qualified nursing candidates. She often serves as guest lecturer for workshops in patient care, financial management and budget forecasting.  She develops and implements quality assurance initiatives to improve patient care services. For example, several years ago, she asked the physician with whom she worked to provide free physicals and vaccinations to underserved students and athletics to ensure their well-being. Through these efforts to provide more thorough exams, several athletes’ lives were saved due to the discovery of heart murmurs. Over the years, she has continued this work and expanded its reach by joining forces with the Annie E. Hunt Women’s Missionary Society—and now with the Beasley Brown Community Development Corporation to provide free back- to-school physical exams. This year, her goal is to reach underserved students in four neighboring school districts.
Education: Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, Metropolitan State College-Denver, Colorado; BS in Health Care Management, University of Laverne (California); Masters of Science in Administration, Central Michigan University; Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, University of Tampa (Florida).
